Moving from TV Time to JustReel
TV Time is winding down. Here's how to move your episode tracking to JustReel in about ten minutes, and what you get on top.
Spent years ticking off episodes in TV Time? Then hearing it's winding down is a bit of a gut punch. It's a small ritual: open the app, mark the episode, glance at what's next. But it's part of how you watch, and the annoying bit isn't losing the app so much as losing track of where you're up to across a dozen shows at once.
You can rebuild all of that on JustReel, plus a few things TV Time never had. Give it about ten minutes.
Getting set up
There's no import to fuss with. You start fresh:
- Sign up. Free, no card.
- Add your shows. Search each one you were following and pop it on your Reel Deck.
- Say where you're up to. Mark the last episode you watched on each show, and JustReel works out what's next for all of them.
Ten minutes with a cuppa and your whole watchlist is back, sitting exactly where you left it.
What carries over
The stuff you actually opened TV Time for is all here. You get episode-by-episode tracking for TV and for movies, and every show on your Deck tells you the exact next episode to watch, like S03E07 · The Rains of Castamere. There's a social feed too, so you can see what your mates are watching and argue about it.
What's new
Shared watchlists are the big one. Not a read-only link you send around, but a proper list your friends can edit with you. Anyone you invite can add, drop or reorder titles, which is handy for couples, flatmates and the weekly movie night.
There are also AI recommendations that learn from what you watch and rate, and achievements to chase if you're into that. Ignore them completely if you're not.
About the free tier
A lot of people drifted away from TV Time because the free version kept getting worse. We're trying hard not to do that. The free tier on JustReel is meant to stay properly useful: track as much as you want, build collections, earn achievements, and no ads shoved in your face.
