An animated short film that explores the fragmented nature of memory and loss through archival family footage. Using rotoscope animation, the film reconstructs the fading memories of a father who died tragically and unexpectedly when his daughter was fourteen. Blurred and intermittent like recollections themselves, these images are accompanied by audio from one of many driving lessons, in which he reflects on his fear of death.
Intermittence was directed by Ana Sofía Navia López.
Intermittence runs for 1min, and was released in 2024.
