Overview

In a foreign port on the Mediterranean Sea, a steamer with soldiers is preparing to sail. Fernana, a crane operator, persuades the captain not to take the ship out of the port. During the night, a fire breaks out on the ship. Fernana is arrested and sent to prison. Twelve-year-old Anita, the sister of the arrested woman, decides to avenge Fernana.
